Employee Benefits Account Manager

Position Summary: The Employee Benefits Account Manager is responsible for the day-to-day service of employee benefits book of business. The ideal candidate will have experience managing large group benefit accounts through all phases to include marketing, implementation, communication, new target market and enrollment. This position will require a thorough comprehension of ancillary products and a willingness to keep up-to-date with changes in the industry, such as Healthcare Reform.

Essential Duties and Responsibilities:
• Assist with the implementation and marketing of new and existing business
• Develop positive working relationships with clients, producers, and insurance carriers
• Prepare proposals and renewal presentations
• Participate in open enrollment meetings
• Maintain awareness of new developments and legislation in the group benefits field, such as legislative and compliance issues, HIPAA regulations, and COBRA/state continuance coverage
• Manage renewal/retention process

Skills Required
• Florida insurance 2-15 license
• Bachelors degree preferred
• Minimum 5 years employee benefits experience preferred
• Extensive experience with groups of 50 or more participants
• Excellent communication skills
• Strong organizational skills with high attention to detail
• Responsible and self-motivated team player
• High level of computer literacy including working knowledge of Microsoft Office
